I {heart} Fall!

Everyone needs a Jack-O-Lantern with a Mustashe

To celebrate a little fall today - mom came over and we did some fall activities...
Carving Jack-O-Lanterns.
Get that gunk out.

Ewe gross...

Saved the pumpkin seeds for baking.
We dried some apples...

We also went thrifting - mom got a new chair and we didn't get anything no grand finds today although Grandpa we almost got a chair to cane. Oh and we also went and saw Where the Wild Things Are - the characters were fantastic but I didn't love it. Good things it was a matinee.

In case you wondered...

if I was actually making something in my studio or just collecting supplies - this is for you. I have been trying to go into my room at least once a day and work on something. Today I actually finished a few things.
A little book I made from my 10th high school reunion photos. I didn't want to bind it so I just tied the pages with a ribbon - I kind of like that they are loose. Anyhow here it is...

I also have been learning to do zippers. is at little wallet I made it's my second zipper ever...
Look it's lined. It looks better in real life but I was too lazy to find the big camera.
This was my first zipper ever it's slightly wonky but it's actually zips.
And it's lined too...
I also have been working on a few other things.

Mom's Moving Weekend

We had toasts to "signing the papers".
Goofy bar photos.
and Joe busted out some Michael Jackson moves.
There was getting down...
And awkward dance moves
There was rides in pick-up trucks.
beautiful indiana farmland
corn ready for harvesting
and delightful sunsets
Late night craziness

We had moments like this...
And this...
And ones like this - that we aren't even sure what was happening
The Apple-Crash Test Dummy Project was revived but was not so successful as back in the 1990s

We took family photos like this one - which I think makes an excellent christmas card.
There was wine and cards...

We had mishaps like this...
Boxes were hauled
we found treasures that we thought were lost
JJ walked bed parts the three blocks to the new house.
Brando came to help...
soup was made

soup was eaten with a game of mystery
Papers were graded...
Whacky Basketball was played

We took a road trip to our favorite town - Oxford
and our favorite chinese restaurant.

Then we went some place special and magical...
where the roses grow
and the wild things are...

and magical moments were had...

brothers hoisted other brothers up

Here's to new beginnings! in the Jones and Co family.
