goings ons

let's see here's a few on-goings...
+ enjoying traveling again I like home but I like away too
+ saw some of my favorite boston peps - you know I forgot to take any pics
+ did some holiday shopping - resisted the urge to buy gifts (aside from stocking variety)
+ went to court last week (so frustrating)
+ saw holiday displays and such
+ mailed our christmas cards
+ included series of random jones we don't know as an experiment
+ working a new list for 2010 - I need to work on completing a few more things too (really just need to update the progress).
+ downloading some new iTunes
+ enjoying some Bon Iver & Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic & Zeros & the duchess and the duke
+ mailed some christmas presents
+ hung the stockings (no tree this year no sense in it now)
+ laundry (ick)
+ resumed POTD

I want to lease that skywalk up there - I'm sure they want to lease the building but I just want the skywalk.

the fun tiling I'm not sure it's original probably was redone at some point the glaze seems pretty bright for like 1870 or something.

1. Being Back in Boston (I'll admit I missed it).

Working on Festivity

We got all festive this weekend went to see the Christmas displays in Cincy, went to see light displays, baked cookies, listened to christmas carols and even rode the holly jolly trolley - seriously yes they call it that. I had just a jolly ol' fun time. I had all these good intents to blog with more words but typed them into my BB and then the battery died tomorrow I will share travel adventures.

Who's got Christmas Spirit?

Jono's Boss is trying to get him some Christmas spirit - he's more grincher than me this year. She's got him sporting antlers at the office. WTG Becky Sue! Oh and look here's Tony too they are he looks so happy in his antlers (jono on the other hand I think forgot how to smile).
We're going Christmasing a little tomorrow so maybe I can get back my groove too.

Dear Santa and Kelli

You cannot force me into getting me christmasified even if you think you can. However I will oblige you a little in attempting to get my holiday groove back and thus I'm writing to this letter to Santa and Kelli (thanks for the idea).
First let me start off by saying I've been a very good girl this year I have kept myself in check on most accounts (I can provide references if needed) and there's no need to mention those things where I was a bit naughty. Anyhow in terms of what I'm asking for this year for Christmas here we have it. I would like to say for the record however that I don't think any of these things should be brought by a fat man down a chimney they might get stuck - seeing as all I have is a furnace and dryer vent for a chimney - instead just knock and have one of the boys let you in.
Post it List paper - must be sticky and must be list like. If you've been to the compound or gone grocery shopping with us you know what I'm taking about. (Photo is not accurate)

Something delightful and lovely to accompany my happy spoon, squid whisk, & spoon holder - suggestions include but are not limited too...

A toaster that makes Darth Vader toast.

A hot dog toaster - Kim you know you want this! (please don't bother with the mustard).

And look at these happy choices they seem like they would get along nicely with our other lovely items and that is one sexy measuring cup no joke.

A vintage thermos I have been wanting one and I haven't been successful in locating the right one when at thrift stores. Not to small not to big - just right Santa you know the one.

Aqua and Pink Pryex (nothing else needs to be said about this swellness).



This will definitely not fit in the chimney and I'm a bit picky about it but I want an antique trunk and not just any one the kind that can be my coffee table and I can store all these great things we keep around like Indy Monthlys, and cameras, and CDs and camping spice inside.


A1 Sauce we're out and there is some unwritten law about this.

Tuesday 10 - why can't I feel christmasy already

For some reason I just cannot get into Christmas this year - I don't even really want to put up my tree, I don't feel like making gifts (although I want to make other things), I would rather not bake, I'm missing the Christmas cookie party, we cancelled the annual Christmas extravaganza - what's up with me? Is Jono's grinchness wearing off on me? Hopefully I can get back into the groove this coming weekend we are planning to go see Christmas displays perhaps I should bust out the Christmas CDs, go see Santa, find a live Nativity, put on my ornament earrings, & find an ugly Christmas sweater and that will bring back my Christmas mojo?
Well anyhow I digress a little bit making this week's Tuesday 10 - I had every intent to post one last week but didn't have a connection except for 10 minutes in the lobby of my hotel. So here we have this weeks loves so many good things I almost want to make it say 12 things...
