Theaburf 29 months

I stopped these since the lack of murals in rural Ohio.  But we saw a new one on the way home from B2S shopping and stopped.  So here is Thea in all her glory at age 29 months!

Thea at 29 months is into coloring and making art.  She likes True, Barbie, legos, swimming, dancing and babies.  

She will talk your ear off, picking up phrases from you the first time she hears them.  

She is fearless running headfirst into walls and drinking from puddles.  

She doesn’t like bread but is super into most fruits and veggies.  

She can’t wait for the illusive kindergarten (she’s a long way off). 

She says v’s as b’s vegetables.

She is working on potty training and can’t wait to earn her mermaid by completing her potty chart.

She picked out “princess” pajamas school shopping and lost it when I tried to put them back.

She likes 25 cent gum machines.

She mixes patterns and loves flowy skirts.  

She likes to wrestle and play ball.

Ahhhh my little Thea Lady!

Theaburf 24 Months Way Late

I am way late posting this although the pictures are old.

Dear Thea lady 

At age 2 you are finally getting real hair. 

you have opinions about everything. 

you use you song voice when thinking. 

you are resilient, strong, determined, and sooooo energetic.  

you love watching Wheels on the Bus.

You frequently request to wear kitty pants.

you eat dipping sauce with a spoon. 

You enjoy playing babies.

You like reading books especially Cinderella and 3 bears.  

You love running especially away from mommy!  

Also you enjoy being “first”.

You want to do everything Jones does, but you also bring your own twist or try to go further or do more.

You think rain boots go with everything.

You love vegetables and salad but usually don’t bother much with meat.

You struggle wanting to go to sleep.

You bring so much joy.

Theaburf 19 months

i am so behind on posting these little note to you girlie!  Sorry about that.  

You are getting taller outgrowing your 18 months clothes and moving right into 2T.

You are jumping.

You talk every so much.  

Something super awesome is you started saying “Thea” this month.

I love how you will declare yourself silly, or dirty, or stinky etc.

You are brave and fearless.  

You are finally getting some hair and It’s still blonde.

You have so much energy.

You demand things by declaring “I need I️t”

You can peddle your trike.

You are getting better at going to sleep at bedtime.

You do the opposite of everything I say.  

You declare your love for just about everything - stating “I love I️t”

you sing Katy Perry’s “Firework” and think you’re calling herself a firework baby. 

You want to wear rain boots everywhere. 

You love babies and dress up.

Oh little birdy you grow up so fast.

Theaburf 18 months

18 months little bird.

You talk talk talk.  At 18 months you should say 2 word sentences.  Yesterday you said a 6 word sentence. 

You run away from me when I need you and then play get me by running around the car, table, room whatever it is.

You still have wispy blonde hair and blue blue eyes.

You weigh about 22 lbs.

You are becoming a picky eater you don't want to even try foods that look unfamiliar.  But you still love peas, carrots, broccoli and yogurt.

You don't want to be left and often will run after me when I am leaving shouting "I am coming!"

You don't really want to listen to books but will sit on my lap and play when I read to jones. 

You like to write usually with an ink pen rather than crayon or marker.

The other day you picked up your toys while I was in the kitchen changing over laundry.

You get soooo upset when you get in trouble.  I have started making you look me in the eyes when disciplining you and you fight me but then will soften and say sorry.

You are starting to learn to peddle your bike.  

You looooove to pull the wagon or ride in it.  

You tend to copy jones.

You also like to play simon says. 

You are 18 months going on 3.

Ahhhh a little late for 17 months but in all fairness i actually took the photos before you were 18 months.

Little bird you are so clever. 

You mimic Jones and others (mostly Jones).

You parrot oh so many words.

Your favorite being "No" and "Mine".

You talk, sing, run, Jump and dance with such passion.  

You love to play babies, cars, and kitchen.  

You are learning to peddle your bike.

You are swinging on big kid swings.

You climb to the top of the highest ladder and go down the tallest slides.

And you recently became a water baby loving the pool.

You even are learning to use the kickboard.

You are sooo messy.

Usually going thru 3-5 outfits a day. 

You like to eat brocoli, mac and cheese and "sauce".

You demand outside most times of the day.

You hug me when you know you are in trouble. 

You like to see dogs from a distance and for some reason you dislike cats. 

You are starting to count. 

You are fiercely independent.

Oh I love you so.

Theaburf 16 months

16 months

Thea girl- 

You are super fiesty and fierce.  

You parrot everything and have such and understanding of what we say.  

You learned to summersault and jump.  

You are just over 20 lbs.  

Your legs are slightly bowed but this does not stop you. 

You have wispy blonde hair and blue eyes.

You give me kisses when you think you are in trouble.

You want to keep up with Jones.

You eat just about everything.  Macaroni and cheese and peas are probably your favorite things.  Except perhaps sauce which you eat with your fingers.  

You love babies and purses.

Theaburf 15 months

15 months lady!  You are such a character.  You understand me and often have your own opinion.  You may not speak all the words but you find your way of communicating.

You now have 8 teeth finally!

You like veggies and mac and cheese and candy.

You vacillate on liking fruits.

You have trouble sleeping by yourself.

You know several body parts, nose, eyes, ears, hair, mouth, belly and feet.

You adore shoes.

You carry shoes around you often get mom or dads shoes to put on over yours. 

You like to carry a purse. 

You like dirt. 

You like playing outside.

You prefer not playing in the pool.

You love to get on the second level of the clubhouse.

You try so hard to jump.

You like to dance. 

You climb things like drawers.

You are growing hair.

You are around 21 lbs.

You like telling jones no.

You run away when I say come.

You touch things when I say not to.

You stand on the rail and flirt with disaster.

You like being on the edge of danger.

You are something little lady.

You are so loved.

Theaburf 14 months

I never finished Thea's 14 month post, and I started 15 months so I just ended it short.  

Dear Thea 

You wave at people, all people.  You sometimes get annoyed they don't notice you.  

You try and wake Jones up from naps.

You like to make phone calls, fake and real.

You play peek a boo often and hide you eyes and yell eek-a-boo.

You say oh so many things including I love you, everybody everywhere, and happy birthday.  

You run away from me when I call you.

You think you are big climbing chairs, drawers, and boxes.  

You try to jump.  

You try to brush your teeth all the time.  

You grimace when you do something wrong.  

Oh lady baby.

13 Months Theaburf

Ahhh girlie! Your are so spunky!  You are very headstrong and will yell and point for things you don't know words for yet.  Everyday you challenge me and reward me.  You are something lady baby.  Here's a little list for this month...

Your are soo curious.

You want and demand to walk sometimes.

You also often demand I pick you up. 

You can say - No, Bad, dog, mommy, Daddy, Baby (which sounds like bobby), Jaa (Jones), hi, there, eat, bye, Nikki, Quack, duck.

You try and jump.

You walk and run.

You climb - everything!

You like to play outside.

You like to play inside.

You wave at people, all people.  You sometimes get annoyed they don't notice you.  

You try and wake Jones up from naps.

You like to make phone calls, fake and real.

You play peek a boo often and hide you eyes and yell eek-a-boo.

You like to sit at the craft table and find craft supplies jones didn't put up.

You loooove avocado and mac and cheese.

You also like to eat eggs, peas, carrots, carrots and chocolate.

You follow Jones around, but like to play independent from him although sometimes with him.

You have been hitting recently so we tell you to give hugs and kisses not hits.  You usually listen.

You adore taking a bath and moving water from container to container.

You help me move clothes from washer to dryer.

You like to climb into the dishwasher.

You sing along with abcs, and the coconut song.

Theaburf One Year

Thea Lady

Here we are at one.  We've now been completely around the sun one time.  What a year it's been.  We started out so fast and so good.  And then you were a screamer.  You spent sooooo much time crying.  You wanted to eat all the time.  But what a good eater you were.  And then we started having you play and be distracted and we discovered you needed new scenario, stimulation, interactivity - and you stopped screaming.  You matured fast crawling and walking so early.  You developed a little sass and spunk.  You are soooo smart.  Such a thinker.  Fine motor skills so refined.  Just a big personality in a tiny little body.

You finally got back on the growth charts.  You are 20 lbs and 29.5 inches tall.  You are transitioning to whole milk and eating only solid foods.  You can sign, more, eat, yes, no, milk, and all done.  You say - mama, dada, dog, done, bottle, bebe, bye bye, bath, hi, yes, no.

Your hair is growing in and we can't decide if it will be blonde or red.  You have 4.5 teeth.

You love to mimic jones.  You climb.  You dance.  You clap. You like to play dress up, kitchen, blocks, and basketball.  

You like to wear shoes.  You can still wear 6 month clothes.  You put on hairbows. You take off hairbows. You try to put on your jackets.  

You seem to understand me and give me responses when I say something like let's go! Or bathtime.  You give me hugs and kisses all on your own.  You run with joy when I get you from school.  

We are so glad you joined our family girl.

Theaburf 11 Months

Hey Girl - 

You are so funny.  

You understand us when we talk and often chime in or nod to things.  

You love to play music and dance to music. 

You love to play with any toys jones is playing with. 

You often try to walk around carrying one or two toys.  

You are so sassy. 

You will give me kisses at bed time. 

You adore taking baths and if we say bath time you stop whatever and head to the bathroom.  

You love drinking from a sippy cup.  

If we are cooking you will come into the kitchen and try to climb into your chair for dinner/lunch/breakfast. 

You are a big fan of pouches, cheese, goldfish crackers, soup, beans, peas, carrots, apples.

Generally you want to taste whatever we are eating. 

You have three teeth and another one coming. 

You like to go to sleep around 8 then wake up an hour later and go back to bed when we do. 

You love the museum just like jones. 

Your hair is growing and you often try to put on things you think are hairbows. 

You love shoes.

You are our sweet little girl.

Theaburf - 10 months

Lady baby -

Hello 10 months!

You walk now girl not all the time but you are taking about 5-10 steps unassisted.

You are 18 lbs.  

You love being bounced.

You dance when you hear music.

You eat anything we put in front of you. 

You perfect baby Cheetos, Blueberries, pizza, and beans.

You like shoes (although maybe not so much wearing them).

You can give kisses.

You wave hello and goodbye.

You shake your head yes and no.

You growl when you want something.

You typically like to follow jones when playing.

You like toys that make sounds and often play drums on toys that aren't drums.  

You drink from cups.

You are a little intimidated by people you don't know.  

Your hair is growing its still very wispy.

Love you so.

Theaburf at 9 months

Oh baby!  So far this is my favorite.  You are spunky girl spunky. 

You growl at me with your fists held high.  

You lay your head on my and snuggle. 

You watch me as I do chores. 

You want to play games with jones and I. 

You want to taste EVERYTHING.

You crawl, cruise, dance, and climb.

You are taking your first unassisted steps.

You blow bubbles.

You give kisses.

You wave.

You clap.

You bring joy.

You are learning to play peekaboo usually covering your forehead not your eye.

You say dad.

You understand your name.

You adore jonesy.

You try so hard to throw a ball but struggle with release.

You laugh at raspberries on your belly.

You like to fall asleep on daddy.

You like to pull daddy's beard.

You reach for me often.

I love you to wear big bows.

I love how you watch for me and get so excited for me to pick you up.

I smell your head and soak up the last of the my babies.

I call you bird, and baby lady.

I love you so.

Theaburf - 8 months

Thea lady -

8 months!  I actually caught myself telling people you were 9 months (shame on me).  You are just so smart and thoughtful.  We see you thinking all the time.  It's so cute.  Anyhow more about you at 8 not yet 9 months.

You like to go go go. 

You crawl and cruise with the fierceness.

You are starting to let go to walk but your balance is still not right.

You jibber jabber and sometimes we swear it's real works like "yes", "kiss", "no".  But I think it's jibber jabber.  

You don't have any teeth yet.  

You seem to like to poo and pee out of your diaper more than you keep it in.  It's so perplexing to me.

You love to eat.  Baby food. Adult food.  Things jones gives you.  Items on the floor (uh oh).  But you gobble it up and what more.

Favorites are probably baby Cheetos and apples and sweet potatoes.

You don't like peaches.

You dance to Music.

Hum the abcs.

You can clap, wave and kiss on command.

You understand the word "no".

You live to stay up late.

And napping seems to be optional for you.

Your hair is coming in and it's wispy blonde hair that sticks out all over.  

At you go to sleep on daddy.

You watch jones like a hawk. 

You like to splash in the bath.

You giggle when we blow raspberries on your belly it's so hilarious. 

Jones and I like to sing you the Tom Jones song "she's a lady".   We changed the chorus so it says "she's oh whoa whoa she's a baby lady".  

It's so fun to watch you grow little lady.
