One Second Everyday 2024

I started this 9 years ago and I still love this project.  Also it’s crazy home much time was spent in ice arenas in 2024z.

One Second Everyday 2019

Here’s the link to my one second everyday video this is my favorite project to date.  I love it.  Just in Case the above doesn’t work here’s the direct link to you tube - https://youtu.be/Nrck1ckzgZo

A Week in Our Life

I have been wanting to make handmade films for a while.  There was a class that was offered but I didn’t really want to justify spending $200 on it.  So I have been watching some skill share/youtube/instagram videos.  To get ideas, see what tools they used etc.  Mostly I forget the ideas that inspired me.

Last week I tried extra hard to at least capture more moments in video.  I feel like some days it was really successful - like I like how Monday you can follow my shoes places, and the perspective on some of the kids playing.

Just in case the above link doesn’t show up Try this one https://youtu.be/YaG9dGlU-_A

The song is Cute and available royalty free from Bensound.

I edited with videoleap (although not really much).

Anyhow I think I will try again and make a video around Christmas time as well.

1 - One Second Everyday 2016

Here's my One Second Everyday video, 1 from my list.  I LOVED this project and it's totally happening in 2017 as well.  I added the song Adventure of a Lifetime by Coldplay.  If the video doesn't load you can also find it here.

One Second Everyday Weeks 3 & 4

These weeks were all about Jones. But that's okay because he's awesome. I pretty much still love this and I was so sad that I accidentally deleted one of my videos and had to sub in a photo. But I won't let that happen again.  If this preview won't work you can view it directly on YouTube Here.

One Second Everyday - Weeks 1 & 2

So far I am totally in love with this project.  Dustin and Kathleen are also doing it.  Even though my videos aren't amazing I like that it's everyday and just a snipit.  And if you can't view the preview you can see the video on you tube here.

Best of Life - Summer 2014

I just got around to making last summer's video.  Jonesy is so little back then and his movements are so different.  The songs are Riptide by Vance Joy and Happy by Pharrell Williams - I just picked songs I LOVE rather than trying to find something that matched.  If you can't view the above preview you can click here.

Best of Life Video - 2014 April, May, June

Exiting things happened in this video we had our baby and my brother got married.  Lots of every day life too.  The song is Magic by Coldplay.  If you can't view it via blogger it's also available on Youtube here without the sound however.

2014 Best of Life Video - Winter 2014

Instead of creating videos for each month I needed to downsize this year and with that I decided I would do them quarterly.  This way we'd still have these videos which I actually really do like but we'll have less of them.  They'll still include the everyday but will be hopefully slightly less boring.   Here's the first one for 2014 - the song is Send Me on My Way - By Rusted Root.   If the below preview won't work you can find the video here on youtube.  However with this reduced approach I took a whole lot less video but I'm sure that will change in the next few months as Jono and Lo get married and we have a baby.

Best of Life Videos - December 2013

This is the last one of the year. I'm not sure yet if I will continue making these for 2014. I absolutely love having them however I was half a year behind making them most of the time. And selecting the song is always such a challenge but the verdict is not yet out.
But just incase here's a little lovely from December. Song is Sail by AWOLNATION, which actually was popular with the Jones and Co bunch like 2 years ago but had been getting a lot of radio play this year.  To view it directly on youtube click here.

Best of Life Video - November 2013

Here's the November video. We kicked off the month with some camping, and ended with a road trip. This might be my favorite video from 2013 who doesn't love family vacation.  It was a good month. Song is by Ben Howard - Keep Your Head Up.
You can view the video on youtube here if the below doesn't work.

Best of Life Videos - October 2013

Here's the latest video, October 2013. October in the grand scheme seemed to be a very boring month. I didn't take a lot of interesting photos and only a handful of videos however this was what happened. So it's a record of our lives October 2013.  Song is The White Stripes - We are going to be Friends it took me forever to select that song not sure why but I finally picked it.  Video is also available on youtube click here.

Best of Life Videos - September 2013

This is a really short video sadly. However I do love the clip in the middle where Dustin tries to out cartwheel our friends daughter Meghan who's like 9. It's totally priceless - I cannot wait for him out cartwheel our kids or at least try. The song is Thunder Clatter - Wild Cub (Youth) which from the moment I heard I knew I wanted to use it for a video. I even put it in a video song list - we can use more songs like that.  PS Not sure why the video is so blurry it's fine in the original file.

Best of Life Videos - August 2013

Prepare to be seeing several of these in the next few weeks as I try and get caught up. This is from August 2013.
August was a crazy busy but fun month. We went to Detroit, Columbus, Northern California, and we were home for a bit as well, good times in the summer.   Three main themes from August 1) Baseball, 2) Boats, 3) Paul & Carolina's Wedding - that's where my videos and photos were concentrated I had to cut out a lot of photos I took at these events so this video wasn't 45 minutes long.  The song is Get Lucky by Daft Punk - I totally get that the lyrics are a little inappropriate for the video but I love this song and it was definitely hitting my playlist strong in August. If the video below doesn't work click here to view straight on you tube.

Best of Life Videos - July 2013 "It's Time"

I'm waaaaaay behind on videos! I tried making them on my iPad in iMovie which proved to be a bigger pain, which I thought would make it simpler I could download the images video from my photo stream or google drive and make it in a snap.   Well iMovie didn't want to find the videos I recorded not a single one. It also didn't want me to pick the zooming/panning of the photos or the duration.  I do however like the way iMove did the title slide.  But either way this month is done and I can now move onward to August.
The song is It's Time by Imagine Dragons.  Direct Link to this on YouTube in case it's not working on your phone is here.  To see more of the videos you can find them here.

Best of Life Videos - June 2013

Here is the June Video.  About time.  The song is the Decemberists - June Hymn.  Click here for the direct youtube link.

Best of Life Videos - May 2013

So what that I'm still three months behind with these. I watched a bunch of them after I made this one and they make me so happy.  This is the video from May - you might recall that in May - we had visitors for memorial day, I went bike riding,  My husband bought me an iPhone5, and we did glamour shots.  But it was also a month of travel, the start of baseball, mothers day, BBQs and really SUMMER.  Anyhow here's the video, the song is Live and Die by the Avett Brothers for no real reason other than I love it.  If you can't view here the link to YouTube is here. or the google link here. If you want to see the other videos they are mostly available here.

Best of Life Videos - April 2013

Guess what time it is?  I finally finished the video for April.  Yes just 4 months behind but better late than never.  Rather than make the entire video of our wedding I wanted to just include the wedding and use other events as well - we'll make a wedding video later.  Song is our wedding song - God Gave Me You by Dave Barnes.  If you can't see it here on the blog you can check it out here on Youtube.

March 2013 - Best of Life Video - Better Togethe

Here's the March 2013 video.  I am way late at making these.  But I'm still loving them.  The song is Better Together by Jack Johnson.  If the video below does work you can watch it on youtube here.

February 2013 Best of Life

I'm way late posting this. But here's the February video. Song is Lights - Ellie Goulding. Feb was a fun month, but I am glad that cold is behind us now.  If the above doesn't work try clicking here.
