Thea 4 months

Oh baby Thea.  Still so tiny but getting more mellow.  We think we know why you are fussy so much we think it's boredom.  We've been trying to keep you entertained when you start fussing and it seems to be working.  Bonus. You also are not a fan of strangers if it's not a familiar face or smell you tend to scream.

Dear Thea - 

4 months brings exploring with your hands.

You reach for everything and get it! 

You explore faces and textures with your hands.

You stopped sleeping thru the night and get up between 2-6 times a night which is terrible for mommys sleep.  

You started take two naps which is new for you.

You like to play with your dolly as well as other textured noise making toys.

You love bath time it calms you. 

You scream talk which is so cute.  

You pull yourself up and attempt to get out of your rocker.  

Your drinking between 3-5 ounces at a time.  And prefer nursing to bottles.  

You are very interested in food.

You are very interested in Jones and what he's doing and will follow him with your eyes.

You also seem to listen to him when he talks to you.  

You reach for me most anytime you see me - clearly a mommys girl.

You weigh 10 lbs and 10oz and are 25 inches tall.  Long and lean.

You can sit up unassisted for a few seconds and roll over. 

Ohhhh little birdie.

Thea 3 Months

Oh Baby Thea - 

You are three months old now.  You are screaming less now which is amazing.  You also let me take you picture and sometimes you will even smile.

You like avoiding naps.

You like spitting up.

You like playing with your dolly.

You like standing up.

You like to sit upright rather than lay down.

You like to hold things.

You like mommy best.

You like watching Jonesy.

You like bath time.

You prefer being nursed than bottle fed.

You can't predict when you will go to sleep.

Sometimes we think your blonde hair is getting a reddish tint.

You have a hidden dimple that only pops up sometimes.

Your little face is not symmetrical.

You skin is creamy white.

You finally really fit into the last setting of your cloth diapers.

You were 9 lbs 13oz at the post office Monday.

I measured you at 24 inches long.

I like watching you interact with jones.

You are soooo tolerate of him, you don't mind if he smooches your cheeks or wants you to hold his ball.

You like to go out although you don't much like riding in the car.

People always comment on you when we go out they often think you are much younger or actually a doll.  

We try to explain dolls do not have this much gas or scream this much.

Thea 2 months

Dear Theaburf - 

We've arrived at 2 months magically.  We got here and you seem to have found some contentment in sitting by yourself for longer periods of time.  Here's a list of things about you: 

- You sleep around 9-10 hours straight thru like a champ. 

- You nurse like a pro although you have been spitting up lately.  

- Your level of patience with jones is so good.  If he wants to give you a pacifier you take it, if he wants to hold you you let him, if he wants to patty cake your feet no big deal, you will even hold a marker and color with him.  so good.

- You starting swatting at things.

- You are attempting to roll over too when angry.

- You are growing eyebrows and eye lashes and I think your hair will be red.

- You finally stopped screaming at every diaper change and now only scream 75% of them.

- We take you out in public often and you normally are super calm when out.  

- People always comment on how small you are when I tell them your age - I guess they think you should be 12 lbs.

- we met another baby at church who is just a few days older than you.  

- we haven't been in for your two month checkup yet but I would guess you weigh close to 9 lbs.  

- mommy thinks you look like daddy.

- mommy loves how perfect your little fingers are. 

- mommy likes when you reach around for my finger when nursing so we can hold hands.

Theaburf 1 month

Dear Thea - 

If we thought time flew by with jones it flies by faster with two babies for sure - here we are at one month of being your parents.  

So far you are our screamer.  

You scream at diaper changes.  

You scream at baths. 

You scream when you go in your seat. 

You scream when you wake up.

You scream when the car stops.

You scream when I take your pictures.

Seriously lots of screaming.

But you are also a champion nurser.  You latch and eat anywhere and everywhere.  

You are starting to smile. 

We call you "little birdie".because of the way you move when hungry. So cute. 

You like to stay up late while daddy plays video games.  

You wear lots of bows and tutus.  

You like to sleep on mommy.  

You also love to nap in the baby carrier. 

You weigh 8 lbs exactly. 

You are 22.5 inches.

You have a Strong neck.

You hate tummy time. 

You have long legs and arms and newborn pants are like 3-4 inches short. 

You are very patient when jones wants to hold you. 

You have blonde hair and your eyelashes and eyebrows are starting to grow in. 

You are sleeping between 7-9 hours in a row at night - hello awesome! 

You are very alert when not screaming or sleeping. 

You have long beautiful perfect fingers.

You seem to control your hands very well and you like to rest them on your chin and cheek. 

We love you so much girlie we are so glad to have you here.
