The Block of the Month Quilt
Remember back in 2015 when I started this quilt?? Well I gave up on making the blocks but I finished this unfinished project. I pieced the back in leftover fabrics from this project as well as leftovers from another one same with the binding. At first I wasn’t a fan but it’s grown on me.

34 - Block of the Month with Thea June
I am waaaay behind with these but tonight after finishing another project I tackled the June block. It took way longer than it should have. But now I have 4/12 done. I have been only swapping out one print for another but I really wanted to use rhinos and deer even just a smidge.

34 - Block of the month with Thea March
An update on this project.
So I actually made my March Block in Feburary but I wanted to make sure I had time to do it. I made the block a little big purposely figuring I could trim it down. Is switched out the pluses too for a houndstooth and I am thinking that I dislike that switch and probably won't make that swap again, although who knows. Here they all are lined up. I am liking how this sampler vibe feels so far.
As a reminder... This is the 2015 Thea & Katie Project. We are doing the sew mama see modern blocks from a few years ago link here http://www.sewmamasew.com/2012/03/modern-block-of-the-month-bom-march-sew-along/

34 - Block of the Month with Thea - February
Here's the link to this months pattern http://www.sewmamasew.com/2012/02/modern-block-of-the-month-bom-february-sew-along/
I didn't follow the pattern but rather sketched out the strips needed and simplified the block to get rid of the funky seams. I think it turned out regardless and once it's mixed in it won't matter. I also did buy a This olive cotton and steel print to get a little more olive in my fabric selections. I am planning to switch in a fabric from the original colors one at a time to make this more "samplery".

34 - Block of the Month w/Thea
Thea and I are doing a Block of The Month this year. We decided to do the Sew Mama Sew one from 2012. Link here ... http://www.sewmamasew.com/2012/01/modern-block-of-the-month-bom-january-sew-along/
My first attempt while the block wasn't challenging somehow I screwed it up and it was too small! And I also decided I don't like the gingham print.
So I made a second block adding and extra 1/2 inch to the measurements of the pattern. This worked much better. I also swapped in a chevron pink for the gingham. I like this much better.
I am doing this entirely from stash fabrics (see photo at the top) although I desperately want to buy something in the olive in the + fabric. I am going to alternate prints since I only had small cuts of the pink and some of the other prints.
