Checked Blink off my list this weekend. I would have liked to see more exhibits however my kids can only walk so many steps and start to get really sleepy at like 10pm. So we settled for what we could see. Highlights for me dodecalis, the rainbow, Cincinnati Rhapsody and the parade which was insanely long.

Pumpkins and Sunflowers
This past weekend we hit up the pumpkin patch. We opted to go to the same patch as last year - Burwinkle Farms. It naturally was super hot as we never go to pumpkin patch in sweater weather. The kids were really into searching for sunflowers, the corn pool, and picking pumpkins (we got 6). The kids also LOVE a hayride they would have ridden it all day if we could have.
We went before lunch having snacks at the patch but it was lunch time so the kids were very crabby when we left and unable to share the apple cider slushee we had. But we quickly picked up hot dogs and then it started pouring down rain so we left at just the right time.

Apples
Apparently I like to pick the hottest days to go pick apples. It was crazy sunny and warm on Saturday but yet we hit the orchard. We actually went to two orchard the first you pick was closed the second however was crazy full of apples for picking.
My kids love this activity and we brought home 1/2 a peck of apples, both green and red and various kinds. The A&m farm were we actually picked was completely rustic and just a handful of people were picking it was almost as if we had the place to ourselves.
And now we plan to make apple crisp, and dried apples and apple muffins and more and now for a bazillion photos.

last days of the Tri Pool
All summer long we have been hitting up the pool 2-4 days a week. We go so much I had to buy the kids many new suits because there was always one or two in the wash. We have loved our pool pass. We usually pack a snack and water bottles. Sometimes we bring friends sometimes we meet them there. And sometimes we have the place to ourselves. And occasionally it’s crowded. It’s been a great summer.
This is the last summer for the tri pool. They are building a new fancy pool in the new city park. This is the same pool I grew up going to. So it’s filled with memories for both me and my kids. Anyhow we have loved it this summer and while the weather is like 90 degrees this week we wish it didn’t close for Labor Day.
Thanks for a great summer!
(Here are a few snapshots I took there this summer)
