30 - Birthday Party Thea

For Thea’s birthday we were on a hockey tournament and as gift/party I bought her tickets to Disney on Ice for her and 5 friends. I was a little worried she would find it too young but surprise it wasn’t.  They had the best time wearing fancy dresses and going to see their favorite Disney characters skate.  And also on the plus side I think Thea could have a career in Disney on Ice even if she never took another skating lesson.
I also made the girls little “purses” with mirrors, lipstick, friendship necklaces and a few other treasures a as party favors - def a hit.

Happy Birthday Jonesy!

Someone celebrated his birthday the other day.
Holy cow how did I get here i have a kid going into second grade, who reads and writes and does math.
He’s fun loving, quick witted, smart, enthusiastic, handsome, happy, and genuine.  He is quick to forget where he put his shoes but will remember everything I say “maybe” to.  This year has been a rough one for my outgoing extrovert but somehow we survived and thrived.  So glad i get to be your mom even if I need a vacation.
Looking forward to another year of you.
We celebrated with a Minecraft party with friends and I took like 5 photos all weren’t really great photography skills.  But survived the party.

The big 6.

Last week this kid turned six.  If there had been no pandemic We were supposed to have gone to Florida and Legoland and then come home for a big a Lego party.  But that did NOT seem safe so instead we landed on him inviting a friend fishing and swimming at the local lake.  His friend brought his sister and mom and auntie Kathleen came.  Anyhow it was a good fish party.
He caught a giant catfish which snapped the line before we got it in.  But we saw it and it was big.  I am glad I didn’t have to unhook it and touch it, the worms were bad enough.
Even though we hit the lake before noon it was really much busier than it has been in years, people mostly kept their distance with a few exceptions.
It was a good weekend and for maybe 20 minutes I was out in public and not worried about social distancing and then someone would get close and I would yell at my kids to give someone space.  Ugh.

I bought him a trampoline and some legos and we had his favorite meal of Mexican.

Anyhow happy birthday to my fun, loving, clever boy who loves the color red, wants to be a lego master builder and wishes the neighbors cat was his.

8 - Mermaid Birthday

Thea wanted a mermaid pool party so I made it happen.  She had about 20+ friends who came. I rented a hotel pool, made a mermaid cake and game. Instead of goodie bags I did little swimming barbies and Koosh balls for boys or those who didn’t want a doll.  They swam, drew mermaids, ate cake, played pin the necklace on the mermaid and photo booth.  It was a good time, she loved it.  My favorite was when one kid left she asked if she could have her party at the hotel and move in!  Lol!
Happy birthday girl.

20 Celebrate Jones’s birthday

For Jones’s birthday he wanted a Debit card and Nerf gun party.  I went with the Nerf guns and just got him gift cards for his presents rather than throw a gift card party.  I got all the kids Nerf guns and bought a bazillion bullets and we made stations to play in the backyard.  Thank goodness it stopped raining and the yard was only half mush so we could still have the party at the house.
The nerf gun war was much fun and we also did slip and slide.  I made a target cake but could only find one cake pan so I went with a rectangle layer underneath.  The cake turned out okay but my kids thought it was amazing so that’s what counts.
It was a good time.  Thanks to everyone who came.

Happy birthday Lil Schreve

My nephew turned one earlier this month.  He had a pool/bbq party.  He’s so cute in his little bow tie.  He is just the sweetest little guy.  He is so chill.  He reminds me of his dad. It took him a minute and then he was into the cake.  And he was very into presents and swimming.  He’s just learned to walk and is babbling like a pro.
My kids loved the pool part of the party; even though they couldn’t touch they felt very comfortable in their vests.  We brought lil’schreve a slide which all the kids enjoyed.

Oh uncle JJ made a surprise for his birthday too.

Three cousins.

Dinosaur book from gma.

38 Birthday Party For Jones

Despite someone wanting his party at ChuckeCheese.  I threw Jones a party at the local park/pool.  Theme piñatas and Pools since Jones really really loves piñatas. My cake design wasn’t exactly pro but who really cares.  Jones had such a good time.
The kids played on the playground,  then we opened gifts and did the piñata and cake.  I made the kids goodie bags with googles and sunglasses and pool toys.  We then went to the pool.  Only half of the kids came to the pool but it was still so fun as NOBODY was at the pool that day because it was overcast.
Jones fulfilled his dreams of transformers and ninja turtles.  And he slept soooo good that night. Now be prepared for a bazillion photos.

Jones and a few friends from School.  Brianna Devyn Jones Chloe, and Owen (Chloe is Owens big sister)
