We got an ice storm here. My daughter who recently watched Frozen for the first time has declared she froze all the things. She thinks her hands are ice hands like Elsa and she’s going to freeze all the thing she often reminds me not to touch them just in case. She’s been walking around “shooting” things with her hands declaring them frozen. It’s so funny. I also do appreciate she doesn’t care about princess things about the story she’s more into the ice.

Hello February
It’s February a new month. I have serious winter blahs! So it’s a new opportunity for me to state a few mini goals:
- Blog more (like there’s 28 days in Feb I am shooting for 15)
- Create some good lists, its sooo easy for me to get trapped into the drama, and I need more good less drama
- Meal planning (I did this this last week and it was soooo helpful).
- Do something uncomfortable
- Get in those steps, lately I have been way off on step count thru the week, so I am going to attempt to up the count by pacing on conf calls, or getting up earlier for a fast walk, or walking the long way etc.
- Van shopping - time to get serious about getting rid of this awful car.
- Order photos from 2017.
- Buy new underwear
That it for now it’s not exactly an exciting list but it’s a need one.

Snow
I have been waiting for some snow to come when I could take jones out in his thrifted $2 snowsuit. Finally for Valentine's Day we got some. When I told him after his nap about the snow he immediately wanted to go out. He was not so interested in waiting for several layers of clothes and mommy putting on warmer socks and finding her mittens etc. he stood by the door waiting for easily 15 minutes. He took a ball out into the snow since we had been playing ball too.
Once outside he was like "oh wow" and "snow" and "brrrrr" but he was totally into it. He picked snow up almost immediately with his mitten hand and smashed it into his chest. He thought snowballs were great. Sadly it wasn't really packing snow so no snowman. And was practically jumping for joy when the snow plows drove down the street pushing the snow.
He liked tasting the snow and was uber excited about his slide in the snow. And even though he had ice gloves and snow in his boots. He had a major meltdown when we brought him inside to warm up.
I hoped we would get more than the 2 inches over night so Dustin could take him sledding but we didn't get much and I am sure the snow will be gone from the sledding spot when he gets home from school today.

Best of Life Videos - December 2013
This is the last one of the year. I'm not sure yet if I will continue making these for 2014. I absolutely love having them however I was half a year behind making them most of the time. And selecting the song is always such a challenge but the verdict is not yet out.
But just incase here's a little lovely from December. Song is Sail by AWOLNATION, which actually was popular with the Jones and Co bunch like 2 years ago but had been getting a lot of radio play this year. To view it directly on youtube click here.

10. Having Spare Rooms again! I love having roommates don't get me wrong but there's something so fantastic about having rooms that are just rooms.

Christmas Snow
For Christmas we got about 6 inches of snow. Which gave some of us extra time off! SNOW DAY! We decided to capitalize on this and we went sledding and built a snowman. Sledding was ridiculously fun and really what is not fun about Dust's outfit? I couldn't take him serious the whole time he was dressed like that!
Building the snowman also fun especially since we did it at my friend Kathleen's house as a surprise for her. She came home from helping with wedding invites to find a snowman! She immediately knewit was us and called me. Lol what a great prank.
Great times great Christmas!

Very Merry Christmas!
Things will likely be very busy this week. I did want to stop and wish everyone a very merry Christmas. This has been a year of very many blessings and I am so glad to have everyone for the next week or so.

Wonky Christmas Tree
We got a Christmas tree. I've been getting real trees the last few years usually from lowes but this year I don't have an SUV so when I learned Marsh down the street had trees I decided we should walk over and pick it up and carry it back. Dust was down so we donned our new festive hats that Michele sent and went to pick it up.
There was only one tree left so we took it. (Lesson 1 don't buy the last tree.) Then we walked it down the street. I say we but really Dustin did all the lifting i just walked beside him and our tree. We trimmed it up and well to say the least it's a little wonky. (Lesson 2 avoid tree trimming trees from marsh). But we put it up anyhow and decorated it - I have picked up some ornaments which I gave Dustin and we mixed them in with my collection. All wonkiness aside we love our goofy little tree and we enjoyed getting it and putting it up together. Oh and yes we now have two pieces of bacon on our tree.
