Theaburf 7 months

Dear Little Bird -
7 months and we are going!  Crawling, pulling up, and over, and cruising.
You love to play in the little house we have.
You pretty much know how to use toys you get that a rattle shakes, a car drives, and the fake phone.
You loooooove to eat baby food and often throw a fit after its all gone.
You weigh in at around 15lbs
You smile like popeye when you are super happy.
You love the bath especially when there's splashing.
We found a swing and you are a fan especially when Jonesy pushes it.
You adore Jonesy you watch him intently and want to do what he is doing.
You moved out of your bassinet thing into the pack and play while we transition Jones to his toddler bed.
You explore with your hands more especially faces.
You clap for everything.
You are starting to try and wave too.
We love having you as our little bird.
Love you much!
Mommy
Also including this photo because I love it so.

Conversations with Jones - New Baby

The other day in a long car ride back from a family reunion jones and I were having conversations and this one struck me rather funny.  To preface this there had been a lot of babies at the family reunion.  It's the type of thing I wish I had recorded so I figured it would add it here...
"Mommy Honey - can we get a new baby?" - J
"Umm, we have baby Thea." - Me
"No a new baby." - J
"Nope, four makes a good family - we have mommy, daddy, Jonesy and Thea.  That's 4. 4 is good." - Me
"4 is good?" - J
"Yes." - Me
"No 7 is good.  I want 7." - J
"Probably not buddy.  We like 4." - Me
"But new baby? Daddy should have the new baby. 7." - J
"Daddy are you hearing this?  Jonesy daddy's don't have babies."  (Me poking not Dustin to see if he is listening).
"Yes. Daddy can have babies mom. Yes."- J
"Daddy's don't usually have babies."
"My daddy can."
"Well... Let's turn on our CD."  (Me changing the subject).
Photos from a pit stop we made because Thea needed a diaper change.  Jonesy was pretending daddy wearing his hat, sitting in his seat, testing the belt, Windows, and locks - he also ordered a "dr pepper" because it's a "adult beverage".  I love this age.

32 - Riverside Park playground 4

So we tried to hit the other playground at Riverside the one next to the pool and the fancy new colts exercise playground but part of it was closed so instead we did the little playground where a family was having s big picnic and did provide us music.
Jones pretty much wanted to swing the entire time we were there both in the baby swings and the big kid ones.
He did also go down the slide like twice.  And Lynley and Kathleen met us and the babies played in the shade.
Overall the playground was good but a little to big kid probably for Jonesy.

32 - Christian Park playground 3

For the record this is actually playground 3, one was up in Carmel we went for a birthday party, and one was Southeast way park both were good playgrounds but not close.
Christian Park however is literally like 2 miles from our house.  We stopped at the playground bit for like 2 minutes but it was sweltering hot like 93 degrees humidity 95% so we hit the splash park which is right next to the playground.
I took no photos at the playground but I am pretty sure we will be back.  I do want to point out that this splash park is free and not with a pool which is fun however it makes for changing babies out of wet clothes a little awkward.  Thea however enjoyed the splash park as well siting on the side with a little splash hitting her and watching big kids run by.
I was pleasantly surprised though the park was very clean and the other kids who were bigger were nice enough to include jones in their games.  Note:  Jones loves splash parks and plays so hard and so joyfully when in the water.  He literally laid on top of a sprayer, and under the giant spill bucket.  And my favorite was him doing push-ups with much older boys in the spray.
We will be back again soon new park.

8 - Unfinished Quilt Improv Circles

This might be my new favorite quilt.  Especially the back.  The improv circles ended up resembling eyeballs a little but I still find them cool.  I also love the color pallet and fabrics in this one.  The quilting is random lines.  These improv circles wasted tons of fabric and I used some of the little bits of scraps that came off in the back and that is my favorite part.
I made another tag this time I stitched it before I added it in was much easier than last time.
