A Summer List

Time for a summer list (2012 list here),  this is probably a little ambitious but I wanted to put together a list of things to do this summer.  I made the list with Kathleen during our regular breakfasts, and then I asked Dustin what he wanted to add too, so it's kind of a "group" list of summer activities.  It seems like summer is already here - I went to the pool with Amy the other day, but it was too cold for the water.

a summer manifesto

No goals for June, after reading both Elise and Ali's blogs I decided instead I'm throwing down a summer manifesto for June, July and August.  Originally this list was waaay long but then I paired it down to those things I "REALLY" wanted to do not things that sound like fun.   I already kicked off the weekend with tons of intentionalism this past weekend.  So hello summer!

Oh No It's December!

I feel as though I slept thru or missed all of fall? I know I must have been there and I did have some adventures but it's so hard for me to wrap my hands around it already being December. I'm still in the I want to grab my flip flops and tank top mode - trust me here in Indy it is not the kind of weather for that. So here it is the second of December and I figured I should share y monthly goals aka the remainder of my list from November + a few things:
  • Clean my bedroom
  • Volunteer at the Winter's Farmers Market
  • Finish my Northern  Europe Journal - I stopped at day 4 yikes!
  • Make Living Room CUratins
  • Ornament for Lindsay's Swap
  • Seal Hardwoods
  • Ornament for IMQG
  • Christmas Gifts
  • IMQG membership cards for 2012
  • Clear out Lita's old room
  • Make a decision about the job offer
  • Run 35 miles (I'm making this less than last month because hey it's cold outside)
  • Finish out my 52 in 11 list strong maybe 5-10 more items (that's doable right??)
  • Sew the buttons  that came off in the wash back on my coat
  • Christmas Tree
  • Winterize Yard
  • Have some fun!
PS the photo is from my it's my 5/12th's birthday and I got my wireless printer working party yesterday.  Any gifts can be sent to the bungalow. ;o)

Around Here End of November

(Getting Ready for Making Things Party, Dinner, and Bowling)
Another mish mash of random happenings in November.  Early in November I made a giant list of things to do -  like the entertainment center, return library books, finishing two quilts, replace the doorknobs, jog 40 miles (I did 38.75 as of today - I was so close), see Kelli and Lucy before they move, etc and I'm happy to so I completed 38 of the 50 items - the rest I'll just carry the rest over to next month.  It's amazing what one can accomplish when you are living and working in the same city 75% of the time.  To suffice to say it's been an interesting month, I'm kind of sad to see it go.  But onward and upward to celebrating December and all the awesomeness that comes with the spirit of Christmas.
(Bowling)

(Happy Birthday Momo!)

(MTV Video Awards, Nails, and Cocktails)

(Holiday Cheer, Jono goes Asian, Shrum's, Boilermaker)

(Dufours, Snowman, Birth of a new project)

New Adventures starting tomorrow...

I'm off to Boston tomorrow I started a new project this week and it will require travel to Boston for the next 6 weeks or so. I originally wasn't looking forward to the trip but now it's kinda growing on me. I'm excitied to see parts of the city I haven't seen before, meet new people, and rak up some more travel miles (wehoo!). I've never been to Boston in the fall either so I'm hoping for great weather, reasonable traffic jams, and pretty foliage oh and maybe a tad bit of good travel luck!

Today I need to get my business stuff packed, work in the yard getting it "winterized", grocery shop so Jay has something to eat, pay mid month bills, get some presents I made gathered up and mailed out, get my new contacts from the eye doctor (ekk he closes at 1!), scan those layouts I cranked out last night, oh and maybe enjoy 5-10 minutes of being home.

Oh and by the way :motorized screwdrivers" = "electronic screwdrivers" I wasn't sure what the heck it was called - they have nothing to do with anything you drink though!

Well I'm starting to make a dent now. I spent all morning running around doing various things including some not on my list.

Behinds I should put get out of bed, shower, and work on these lists so I can at least feel a sense of accomplishment as I so am way behind on accomplishing things on this list, I had planned to get crazy and do most of them today. However I stayed later at the office than I wanted and then I took a longer lunch then I planned and now I have a conference call that "I can't Miss". Tuesday 10 - 10 Reasons Why My Coworkers Might Think I'm A Crazy Christmas Lady

Thanks to JJ who started this discussion and gave me something to make a "10" list about this week.
10 Reasons Why My Co-Workers Might Think I'm Crazy Christmas Lady -
  1. I have over 400 Outgoing Christmas Cards in piles all over my desk.
  2. 6 Strands of Lights Hanging from my office ceiling.
  3. A mini Christmas Tree all decked out.

  5. Christmas Music Playing from 8 to 5 (I made my own pandora station I can share with you if you like just email me.)

  7. The Rumors have spread that I make all my Christmas Presents. (True Story).

  9. My Celebrating 25 years Anniversary Stocking is hung by the door waiting for Santa to soon be here.
  10. They remember my fancy Christmas Hats, Antlers, and Light-up Belt from last Christmas.
And to think I don't even have sequined sweaters, a bowl of candy canes, wassail warming on a hot plate, or one of those spooky life size talking santas then I truly would be crazy Christmas lady.
