This winter we needed some more activities since playing outside was soooooo cold. So I got us a membership to the Rec which gives us access to the pool. It’s indoors and usually it is warm and we have been going for an hour or two depending on what time of day we go. Jones is getting to be a good swimming he needs to work on his breast stroke but he’s able to swim the width of the pool. Thea still tormented from swim lessons prefers to wear her vest. Anyhow it’s been a fun activity although I much prefer an out door pool.

The 100 day project
The last three years I have completed this project. I have never finished but I have enjoyed the process. Last year when I left post it’s it was my favorite one I think. This year I am leaning towards doing something towards my less waste goals, or collages, or maybe cross stitch or maybe selfies with my kids. Seriously soooo many ideas.
It starts April 2nd so I need to get deciding.

Gateway Arch
Jones got the flu in Denver and the doctors advised us not to fly home. So we made the decision to make the 19 hour drive in two days. On the second day our break on the trip was at the gateway arch. We took a walk around it. Jones was sooooo sad the two entrances were closed and we didn’t go to the thrid so he didn’t get to go inside the arch. So he’s pouty and crying in all the photos. He was also more impressed with the Mississippi River than the arch. He’s been trying to spell Mississippi Ever since.
Sometime we will go back on a weekend trip and go up in the arch and visit the zoo and that city museum.
Also let’s pretend I didn’t have on two pairs of glasses or a dress with sweatpants.

More Denver
We didn’t do a lot of touristy things in Denver. We spent most of our time with family and doing routine things. We went to the arcade, swimming pool and shopping. We also went to gymnastics and music class with Ollie. We did use our reciprocal museum benefits and visit the children’s museum, it’s much improved from last time and our membership to Cincinnati got us half off.

30 - Ollie’s Birthday
My nephew had his birthday the other day. And we were so lucky to get super cheap airfare and fly to Colorado to celebrate with him. He’s such a cutie and so chill, although just before his smash cake when everyone was looking at him he was crying. But he ended up enjoying his birthday song and then mellowed out and dig into his cake.
Happy birthday Ollie! Love you so.

3- New Haircut
Last week I got 11 inches cut off my hair and got it colored the color is mostly the same as it was minus the gray roots. But the cut is so different. Can’t put it in a ponytail anymore! So far I am a fan. It’s relatively simple to style and isn’t terrible when I don’t style it see below. I think I will have the color lightened up a bit i

2 - Bunk Beds
Well Jones’s dream came true - Bunk Bed! He’s been waiting for bunk beds so I mentioned months ago I was going to get them a bunk bed to save space in their room. I ordered this off Wayfair which took waaaay longer than It predicted to deliver and the directions were wrong and it didn’t have all the pieces. But finally they have bunk beds in their room.
Thea is a little jealous that she doesn’t get to sleep on top but she doesn’t even stay in bed all night so it seems stupid to put her up there. I told her sometime she could nap up there.
Yesterday we went and I got them new sheets since two of the ones I had were torn. She picked purple which is this cute cat print and he picked sharks. Nobody even noticed I didn’t offer them the whole row of characters we rolled past. Next I need to make her a twin sized quilt. Also notice her 100 babies in bed - I almost removed them to take a photo but left them because this is why she can’t have a toddler bed anymore too many babies.
Also beds made by Jones - he calls it “setting them up” and he likes to spread the blankets out on them. He’s finding it harder with the top bunk but helped him smooth it out.
