I saw Tall Socks Live!
just in case you are wondering is tall socks is a guy on the reds team who likes to wear his socks tall and pull his pants up. I love it! Too fun. Before the game I tried to find my very own red tall socks but I could not find any that were red. I'm sure Jay and Joe were not as let down as I was about that. Anyhow here's how things went...
We got there early to see the hall of fame. None of us hab been there before. Don't Joe and Jay look amused having to pose in the 95 degree heat while I run across the street.
unforunately we just missed the players (boo).
but we got to see fun stuff like... baby joe nuxall when he first played for the reds he was 15 yes 15 wild huh?
I won a spin the wheel game for charity and got a 50% off the hall of store purchase (yay). We saw the 3 reds world series trophies. We also saw a giant world series trophy.
We saw the wall with all of pete roses homeruns on it too cool. We smacked high fives with some greats that's me and johnny bench and joe in griffey sr.
joe and I climbed into a old cinergy locker. I love this photo even though we both are acting so goofy.
After they hall of fame we stopped in the store to use my coupon for 1/2 off unforunately it was for the baby sized museum store. What a let down that was but jay got a joe nuxall shirt. Then we went inside the game. It was free hat night! So we got free hats. note it was far too hot to wear the hats. It was also hall of fame night so we got to see some greats. Lucky us. They inducted Cesar Geronimo.

Joey Jay and Barry Larkin. Note if I was to get inducted into a hall of fame for anything like having a lot of colored buttons or wearing out the most pairs of flip flops - I will not spend my entire speech thanking sponsors and just barely mention family and friends like mr. larkin seemed a little rude. Anyhow back to our evening out. Each of the inductees threw out a first pitch here is Larkin pitching to Conceptcion (sp?).
A few rows down was superfan who has made it his person goal of taunting the mets left fielder. We thought it was funny. We saw mr. redlegs. We also saw some actually baseball, but these photos are so boring...zzzzzzzzzzz
Oh and it was a night game thank goodness as it was so hot. these are the lights and look at the sky so fun.
Oh look and I saw tall socks. See aren't the socks cool!
Oh and this always cracks me up. The groundscrew likes to do the YMCA during the 7th inning. too funny!
It was a great night. I do love free baseball tickets.

Oldness but still cuteness
I started the task of scanning in all these photos JJ left with me a few years ago - I'm no where near done but I moved them off on to my external hard drive this morning and thought I would share a few before I forget about this project again. Luckily some of them are labeled who it is however most aren't labeled where or when. But what a treasure they are to have.
One that is not labeled but I would guess by the look of it I think it's my great-grandma dessie in Winfield, Kansas Southwestern College perhaps the 1910s?? Most of her face is shadowed by that great hat.
And here we have my great grandmother nettie pope and my great uncle dick and great aunt ila. pope farm in kansas but doesn't dick look adoreable in his jumper.
Here we have my great grandma dessie and nettie pope
oh and look how cute this one is. Here we have Sarah, Clell and Dessie my great grandma and her siblings I think I haven't looked a family tree in a while but I think that's right.
i love this one my grandma is in the middle with the flipped out hair how cute is she. Also photoed Jean, Ila, Ruth (my grandma), Marv, Gale and Ginny - Evelyn is taking the pic it says. Either Harpers Fairie or Silver Spring, MDgreat grandma Dessie again, Grandma as a baby, her sister ila, and great great grandma nettie pope. Dessie in this photo looks a bit like my mom.
This was is marked Bush Gardens Pasadena, CA. Here we have great grandma dessie, great-great grandma pope, and sarah - dessie's. But aren't their summer dresses lovely.
I did scanned some of the guys too I just have trouble figureing out who's who but this one I know. Here we have great aunt ila being held by my great grandfather howard white, and great grandma dessie holding baby richard. It hasn't weathered the best but I how cute are they.
And here we have Dessie with the ratio clerks which I'm guessing makes this the 1940s probably Oxford, Ohio as Dessie worked there during WWII.
and I think this one is just too funny. Bear drinking coke! lol pictured are nettie and jm pope my great great grandparents - I'm guessing the bear wrangler is nameless as is the other on-looker
That's all for now but perhaps I shall share some others soon there's a whole series from a congressional visit to Alaska that were part of one of howards photo albums and are well labeled perhaps I will share those next time, but now I need to run off to the post office and hit target.

Central Square
well I set off on an adventure this evening my intent was to go to brighton on the train however i left my Charlie pass in my purse and I was far to cheap to buy another. So instead I wandered around central square. It's not really all that exciting although their are two art stores there. Most things seemed to close at 7 too. What the heck is that. anywho I took a few snaps because that's what I do...
Not sure if these means clean up after your dog or don't let them in the grass but they seemed to be everywhere.

I love a Parade!
Even if it is just 7 fire trucks, 2 tractors, an antique car and a marching band. Liberty and and CC's parades are just that in fact the CC parade is the Liberty parade with a few more things. Too funny. I love that it never changes it's always exactly the same. I swear even the people in the parade are the same everytime. Anyhow you can't get the full effect unless you see the pics. I love it try not to be jealous!
